Kerry is married with four children. The whole family has participated in Judo at one time or another, and her husband is also an instructor at Bushido Kai Judo Club. Kerry has many years of Judo and Karate experience. She got her start in Martial Arts with Karate, but after visiting the 2002 Am-Can International Judo tournament as a Medical Recorder, her attitude quickly changed to “where do I sign up for this??” and has been doing Judo ever since. She has been the head female counselor at the Spirit of the Eagle International Judo Training Camp since 2003, and has also been a female counselor at YMCA Huguenot International Judo Camp since 2004. Her personal goals for Judo include competing in Judo Kata on an International Level, eventually leading to the 2012 Olympics, and promoting Judo as a way of physical exercise and self-defense for women.
